The importance of Tree Ganpati.
It balances the harmony in the nature, every Tree Ganesha Idol is eco-friendly and nurtures the nature by growing into a tree. It is important to the environment it makes it green and reduces pollution. Every year, millions of Ganesh murti made with biodegradable materials are immersed in water bodies as a part of the Ganesh festival ritual, At a time when drinkable water is getting more and more scarce, it is criminal to pollute water bodies. It not only pollutes water bodies but also it kills the aquatic animals with Plaster of Paris murti which are made of toxins and poisonous materials. So the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board decided it is time to bring about awareness and a social change without hurting religious sentiment Solution: Tree Ganesha is made from natural soil, organic fertilizer, and seeds. All it needs is a little sprinkle of water to complete the immersion ritual and soon it would grow into a tree. Tree Ganesha is an Idol that not conserves the nature and environment but also gives additional Tree to Nature. Impact: The Tree Ganesha concept was celebrated by the masses and media equally. It went viral instantly as media channels, newspapers, website and bloggers shared this novel idea to create the much-required awareness of celebrating the Ganesh Festival without polluting water reserves.

Why choose Treeganesh ?
Ganesh Idols available in the market: Idols that are available in the market called eco-friendly Ganpati are made up of clay and other ingredients mixed into it for hardening. Some Idols are proved to not be eco friendly for the reason that during immersion these clay material and other ingredients may not dissolve in the water and settle at the water bed. This proves it to be still harmful to the nature.
Immersing an eco-friendly Ganesha is still leading to water pollution. Due to the decorations used on them that are made up of plastic and fiber.
vs
Tree Ganesha's idol: Tree Ganesha's idols, on the other hand, are Immersion free and do not need a lot of water for the visarjan. Idols can be placed and watered with few glasses of water which loosens the structure and the immersion ceremony is conducted without any pollution. Tree Ganesha's idols have seeds implanted in itself. The idols when immersed, later plants are grown out of them. This not only helps with the plant, this plant later helps to provide freshness to the whole house. Positive vibes and happiness are surrounded by the house. The vibes of the festival are still maintained. Plants not only help for this only reason but many more. Our Idols are not decorated with plastic and fiber materials, so its 100% eco-friendly and cannot cause any harm to the environment. Signifying the true meaning of Tree Ganesha.
The idol. As many other eco-friendly Ganesh murtis are made with clay but they still have decorative items on them. They are painted with decorative colors as well which contain lead and mercury and are not entirely on the terms of being eco friendly. Eco-friendly Ganpati idols which are made up of clay or other materials. They are still made with some added materials to provide strength to the idol. which proves not to be completely eco friendly. Eco-friendly Ganesha idols available in the market have to still be immersed into a water body which leads to again forming of water pollution and does not provide an edge on other types of models. Whereas the tree Ganesha is concerned, the initiative is completely different our Ganpati idols are made from red soil and have seeds of plants already in them.
How does it work? When you bring your Bappa home and worship him for the festival. At the visarjan ceremony, you have to just place the idol in an open area along the with the pot and then add some glasses of water till the idol is completely dissolved and they let it sit aside for few days. We have our Bappa still among us but now in the form of a plant. Helping others too.
Pricing: Eco-friendly Ganpati is costlier than the Tree Ganesha's Idols. prices are reasonable compared to the features provided by our idols. Eco-friendly Ganesha's available In the market do not provide value as much as Tree Ganesha's Idols.
Portability: The eco-friendly Ganesha's are made up of clay hence they are very fragile compared to the Tree Ganesha's idol. Our idols are portable and even can be transported with ease.
Build: Sometimes Eco-friendly Ganesh idols are made up of clay may tend to crack upon extreme heat or if not made properly and destroy the look and feel of the idol.

Here is the symbolic visarjan which means immersing Eco-friendly Ganesh Murti in the home itself. This may cure the water pollution and keep the beaches clean even after the day of visarjan.
Avoid Noise Pollution: Music is good to our ears but only till its not a problem or disturbance to others. You really don’t want to cause an inconvenience to someone. Keep the volume in check. Do not get carried away. We are sure our Eco-friendly Ganesh doesn’t really enjoy the loud songs and silly Bollywood music. Going with the conventional bhajans and shlokas are entirely great and make inspiration around too.
Chemical Free Rangolis: Using eco-friendly color as we use them in the holi festival. make some creative out of turmeric, henna rice powder. We can also use flowers and grains that will look pretty good and something innovative

It would be of no wonder if I asked you the ill effects on nature by celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in the traditional way. The extensive use of artificial materials such as POP and other harmful materials such as decorative materials and Oil paints is big harm to nature and in turn to the human race itself.
The effluents such as oil, fiber, plastic, and mercury cause severe pollution to the land and water ecosystem. The idols of Bappa made of POP are not only heavy and cause severe harm to nature they are also very costly.
So, we here at tree Ganesha decided to share a simple DIY (Do It Yourself) guide.
This is a very simple guide and can be made easily by anyone using basic ingredients available in their house. This idol is not only made with zero cost but also does not cause any harm to nature. The reason being the following ingredients are natural and very basic. This idol can be immersed at your own house not leading to any pollution and harming mother nature.
INGREDIENTS :
- RED SOIL
- WATER
- SPOON, KNIFE
- SAWDUST
- A FLATBED POT/ WOODEN PLANK
How to?
Step 1: Collect some red soil from your plant pots or you can find some easily from your garden. Collect 2 pots of red soil. Make sure to remove unwanted particles like leaves and other garbage from the soil.
Step 2: Use a tea filter utensil (chani) to remove large stones and pebbles and also so that the soil is almost soft without any waste in it.
Step 3 : Collect the pure soil in a bowl and add some water into the soil so it is brought up to dough-like consistency. Mix the soil thoroughly till it is transformed like a dough.
Step 4 : Check the clay for any irregularities and if found add some sawdust to give some strength. Keep mixing the mixture until achieving a clay-like consistency.
Step 5: Divide the whole clay into small parts and then start moulding the clay into different parts of the idol, use a knife or a spoon to do the same. Mould the clay in an oval shape for the stomach, make sure it is hard and perfectly shaped.
Step 6: Now, mould the clay into the form of a cylindrical shape. Length being as long as 4 inches and the diameter as broad as your finger. Cut the shape into 4 pieces each piece resembling the hand and the legs.
Step 7: Mould the clay in the shape of a cone resembling the trunk of the idol and also make a comparatively big sphere for the head.
Step 8: Now bring all the parts together and attach them into the shape of the idol. if required use some matchstick in order to provide strength to the structure.
Step 9: Make some detailed parts such as hands and feet using the knife and spoon use detailing tools if you have. For the face make some teeth one being complete and other being chopped in half.
Step 10: Now let the idol dry completely. Add some detailing using some natural colours available. Place the idol and your Bappa is ready.
That’s how you can make the idol by yourself and can contribute by doing it yourself.

Choose Natural Clay Idols:
Instead of using idols made from Plaster of Paris (PoP), opt for idols made from natural clay or bio-degradable materials. Natural clay idols are eco-friendly as they dissolve easily in water, without causing harm to aquatic life. Look for local artisans or eco-friendly organizations that offer clay idols. By supporting them, you not only contribute to the environment but also encourage sustainable livelihoods.
Water Immersion:
When it comes to immersion, choose a natural water body such as a lake or river, instead of artificial immersion tanks. Ensure that the idol is free from harmful substances like paints, dyes, or non-biodegradable decorations. After the immersion, you can collect the clay residue and use it as compost in your garden, promoting a healthy ecosystem.
Use Natural Colors and Materials:
Opt for natural colors derived from flowers, turmeric, and other organic sources to decorate your Ganpati. Avoid using chemical-based paints or synthetic materials that harm the environment. Embrace the beauty of nature by adorning your idol with eco-friendly decorations like leaves, flowers, and natural fabrics.
Say No to Single-Use Plastics:
Plastics are one of the biggest threats to the environment. Avoid using single-use plastic items such as disposable plates, cups, and cutlery during your Ganpati celebrations. Instead, opt for eco-friendly alternatives like biodegradable plates, leaf plates, or reusable utensils. This small change can make a significant impact on reducing plastic waste.
Opt for Eco-Friendly Ganpati Visarjan Events:
Participate in or organize eco-friendly Ganpati visarjan (immersion) events in your community. These events promote awareness about environmental conservation and encourage responsible practices. Collaborate with local environmental organizations, community groups, and authorities to organize a sustainable and eco-friendly visarjan event.
Spread Awareness:
Use social media, blogs, or community gatherings to spread awareness about the importance of celebrating an eco-friendly Ganpati. Educate your friends, family, and community members about the harmful effects of non-biodegradable materials and the benefits of adopting eco-friendly practices.

Environmental Conservation:
By choosing an eco-friendly Ganpati, you actively participate in environmental conservation. Traditional Ganpati idols made of Plaster of Paris (PoP) take years to fully dissolve in water and release toxic pollutants, harming aquatic life and polluting our water bodies. Opting for natural clay idols, on the other hand, ensures a seamless dissolution, without causing harm to the environment.
Reduced Carbon Footprint:
Eco-friendly Ganpati celebrations help reduce your carbon footprint. Idol production, transportation, and immersions associated with non-biodegradable materials contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation. By using eco-friendly materials, supporting local artisans, and opting for natural immersions, you significantly minimize your impact on the environment and combat climate change.
Preservation of Traditional Art and Craft:
Choosing eco-friendly Ganpati idols supports local artisans and traditional art forms. By purchasing clay idols from skilled craftsmen, you encourage the preservation of their livelihoods and the continuation of age-old cultural practices. This not only fosters a sense of community but also contributes to the preservation of our rich cultural heritage.
Protection of Aquatic Life:
Eco-friendly Ganpati celebrations prioritize the protection of aquatic life. Toxic substances present in non-biodegradable idols and artificial decorations adversely affect marine ecosystems. By opting for natural clay idols, using organic colors, and avoiding harmful materials, you ensure a safe and sustainable immersion process, minimizing harm to marine flora and fauna.
Educational and Inspirational Impact: Celebrating an eco-friendly Ganpati provides an opportunity to educate and inspire others. By actively promoting and practicing eco-conscious traditions, you encourage your family, friends, and community members to adopt sustainable practices. Spreading awareness about the importance of eco-friendly celebrations creates a ripple effect, leading to more responsible choices and a greener future.

These choices promote a healthier ecosystem, preserving the beauty of our natural environment for generations to come.
Reduction in Water Pollution:
Traditional idols made of Plaster of Paris (PoP) take a significant amount of time to dissolve and release toxic chemicals into water bodies during immersion. By choosing eco-friendly clay idols, you ensure a quick and safe dissolution process that minimizes water pollution. This benefits aquatic life and maintains the ecological balance of our rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Mitigation of Air Pollution:
Non-biodegradable idols and synthetic decorations often contain toxic substances that, when immersed or disposed of, contribute to air pollution. This helps improve air quality and protects the health and well-being of communities.
Conservation of Natural Resources:
Eco-friendly Ganpati celebrations promote the conservation of natural resources. By supporting local artisans who create clay idols, you encourage sustainable practices and reduce the demand for non-renewable materials like PoP. Additionally, using organic colors, natural decorations, and biodegradable materials minimizes resource consumption, leading to a more sustainable use of our planet's resources.
Encouragement of Local Economy:
Choosing eco-friendly Ganpati idols crafted by local artisans contributes to the local economy. These artisans rely on their traditional skills and craftsmanship to create sustainable idols. By supporting their work, you help preserve cultural heritage, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the local community.
Promotion of Sustainable Living:
An eco-friendly Ganpati celebration serves as a platform to promote sustainable living practices. By making conscious choices regarding materials, decorations, and immersions, you inspire others to adopt environmentally responsible habits. Look for Natural Clay Texture: Shadu Mati Ganpati idols have a distinctive texture that reflects the use of natural clay. Look for a clay-like texture, which may include visible grains, cracks, and imperfections, indicating the authenticity of the idol.
Biodegradability and Water Solubility: One of the key characteristics of Shadu Mati Ganpati idols is their biodegradability and water solubility. Authentic Shadu Mati Ganpati idols are made from organic materials that dissolve easily in water during immersion. Prioritize idols that are specifically labeled as "eco-friendly," "biodegradable," or "shadu mati" to ensure you are selecting the right kind of idol.
